About Our School
Preserving Tamil heritage for future generations
Centre for Tamil Language and Cultural Studies, Rugby
The Centre for Tamil Language and Cultural Studies (CTCSR) in Rugby has been nurturing a love of Tamil language, literature, and culture in children and young people since 2015. We offer classes from Nursery through to GCSE level, taught by dedicated and qualified teachers.
Founded in 2015, our school has grown from a small community initiative into a thriving educational centre with over 40 students and 10 dedicated teachers. We offer classes every Saturday, covering Tamil language from Nursery through to GCSE level, alongside aesthetic and cultural lessons.
We are proudly affiliated with the British Tamil Examination Board (BTEB), enabling our students to sit nationally recognised Tamil language examinations and achieve formal qualifications in their mother tongue.
Our Mission
To preserve and promote the Tamil language, culture, and heritage among the Tamil community in Rugby and the surrounding areas, ensuring future generations remain connected to their roots.
Our Vision
A thriving Tamil community in Rugby where every child has the opportunity to learn, celebrate, and take pride in their Tamil identity.
